Joan, Patient Coordinator
Joan’s career in the world of dentistry covers 24 years so far, and she always loves being able to help patients through positive interactions. She regularly attends continuing education courses at DKU to keep her skills up to date.
Outside of Wayne Family Dentistry, Joan is married with three children. When she has free time, she enjoys going to the beach and reading. One cause that’s near and dear to her heart is the Christopher Bradley Foundation, where she served on the board for 10 years. This organization raises money for children who’ve had cancer in their families and awards high school scholarships.
Shannon, Patient Coordinator
Shannon entered into the field of oral surgery shortly after graduating from the Main Line School of Dental Assisting in 2002. Within her first few years in the dental field, she moved on from oral surgery and took on the role of office manager at a state-of-the-art dental practice on the Main Line. It was this position that helped cultivate her excellent skills in business operation, customer service and where she found a true passion for the Dental field and helping people. These essential skills have also carried over into her Real Estate career. Shannon is also a licensed Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway in both Pa and NJ.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys staying active, attending Philly sporting events with her family and spending time at the beach in the summer. Shannon lives in Ridley with her husband Bob, daughter Alexa, and their dog Jax.
Desiree, Appointment Coordinator
Desiree joined our Main Line Family team in 2023 as an Appointment Coordinator, bringing her valuable background in the customer service industry to the dental world. Her passion for helping people, and professionalism, creates a warm, welcoming environment for patients to feel comfortable and well informed. Desiree intends to grow in the dental field, with business management as her focus.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to read, bake, and take beach vacations. Desiree is passionate about art and music, but mostly her young son, Robert.

Marina, Expanded Function Dental Assistant
Marina has been in the dental field for almost 15 years, and joined us in January 2022. She says, “I love to help improve patient’s quality of life and being an EFDA allows me to have so many rewarding moments but my favorite is being a part of giving someone back their smile.” She attended Harcum College, and received extra training in the endodontics and periodontics fields.
Marina is originally from Kiev, Ukraine and now lives in Royersford. Her family here consists of her husband, her daughter and their Siberian cat.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to read, cook, watch movies and travel, exploring new countries and beach vacations.
Gina, Dental Assistant
Gina is one of our dental assistants. She has been in the dental field for over 20 years. She enjoys working side by side with the dentist and interacting with the patients. When not working in the office Gina enjoys all summer activities like being at the beach or pool. Gina has two teenagers that keep her on her feet.
Joy, Dental Assistant & Management
Joy has been working in the dental profession for 45 years. She has worked as an assistant and EFDA and surgical assistant as well as management. For 20 years Joy owned a dental consulting company and owned a dental office for 10 years. Her passion is working with German Shepherd rescues to rehabilitate dogs deemed unadoptable.
Laurie, Dental Assistant
Laurie has been with Wayne Family Dentistry for over 28 years. She is a dental assistant with experience in oral surgery, endodontics and Invisalign. She enjoys biking, baking, going to the beach, spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren.
Dental Hygienists Team
Julie, Dental Hygienist
Julie is a lifelong Marple Newtown resident. She graduated from the Harcum College dental hygiene program in 2008. She enjoys working closely with patients to achieve and maintain oral health.
At home Julie has a husband, three daughters, and a puppy. They enjoy staying active with sports, visiting museums and parks. Their favorite place to visit over the summer is Ocean City, NJ. She is looking forward to seeing you in for your next dental hygiene visit!
Christen, Dental Hygienist
Originally from Malvern, Christen earned her education from Shawnee State University. She loves interacting with everyone at the office, from the doctors to the other staff members to the patients themselves.
At home, Christen has a husband, two sons, two daughters, four grandsons. Her family is very big and very loving! Christen enjoys gardening, playing tennis, and volunteering at Grace Dental Clinic.
